The Discipline
Classical principles and progressive training at the pace of the horse—toward harmony and communication.
Dedicated to the well-being of both horse and rider—and to the highest level of communication. Better riding, mindful horsemanship, and care that honors the whole partnership.
Yelan Dressage is a private, exclusive club and a focused platform for serious riders. Our approach prioritizes the understanding of classical dressage fundamentals, balanced training, and refined communication between horse and rider—leading to harmony and wellness in body and mind for both. Understanding and subtlety in the partnership sit at the center of what we do.
Classical principles and progressive training at the pace of the horse—toward harmony and communication.
Feeling, communication skills, and balance. We support riders in body awareness and the calligraphy of their own language with the horse, finding optimal balance in the saddle and beyond.
Wellness, happiness, confidence, and trust. The horse’s wellbeing always comes first PERIOD.
For the performance horse, we seek not medical treatment but daily wellness balance—recovery, respiration, and conditioning that support intensive training and keep the horse in optimal condition.
Next-generation pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy to support recovery and rehabilitation. Used to accelerate healing, relax muscles, and maintain the horse’s readiness for demanding work. FEI permitted.

Learn moreClassical dressage at the heart of the club. Our training is built on clear communication, correct gymnastic development, and respect for the horse’s nature—so that horse and rider progress together in balance.
We follow the classical scale of training: rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness, and collection. Each horse is brought along at his own pace, with a focus on soundness and willingness.
Good training depends on a rider who can sit in balance, apply aids clearly, and feel the horse’s response. Lessons and training sessions are tailored to develop both the horse and the rider’s seat and tact.
Whether you are establishing the basics or refining movements at a higher level, our programme supports progressive, sustainable development—with the horse’s long-term welfare and enjoyment of the work in mind.
Dressage asks as much of the rider as of the horse. We support physical and mental wellness so that you can ride with confidence, clarity, and consistency.
A supple, strong, and balanced body improves the quality of the aid and the comfort of the horse. We work on posture, core stability, flexibility, and alignment—both in the saddle and through off-horse practice where relevant—so that you can sit correctly and stay effective through demanding work.
Focus, patience, and a calm mindset help you train with clarity and build a better partnership with your horse. We emphasise awareness, breathing, and a constructive approach to setbacks—so that riding remains a source of fulfilment and progress rather than pressure.
